Description
This is a barn located about 15 yards west of Brick Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-18th century, with an extension added in the late 19th century. The barn is timber-framed and sits on a rubble plinth, featuring brick infill panels and a corrugated iron roof. It has a rectangular plan that is roughly five bays long and aligned east to west. The eastern two bays have a rubble ground floor with two panels above the wall-plate, while the remaining bays display large square-over-rectangle panel framing. The cow shed at the eastern end includes a central entrance and slit vents on either side. There are full-height cart entries in the second bay from the west. The east gable end features two collars with vertical struts and V-struts in the apex. A lower brick extension to the west is not considered of special interest. Note that Brick Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
