Description
The Meadows is a farmhouse, likely built in the early 19th century, featuring a 16th-century chimney and a wing that may date from the 16th or 17th century. The building is constructed of rendered brick and has a hipped slate roof. It includes a local type external end stack with tall detached brick shafts that have rebated panels on the east side, and a brick end stack on the west side. The farmhouse has three storeys and three windows fitted with glazing-bar sashes, along with a central entry. Attached to the west is a timber-framed range that has one storey and an attic, displaying a row of panels to the south above two mid-20th century steel casements and a central door. At the west end of this range, there is a ruined square-plan hop kiln, which is not included in the listing.
