Description
No. 12 Church Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It features a stucco exterior, rusticated at the ground floor, with brick elements and a plain tile roof supported by two brick end stacks. The building has three storeys and a cellar, presenting a two-window range with 8/8 sash windows that have a sillband and are topped with enriched stucco lintels, as well as 3/6 sash windows.
The central entrance consists of a part-glazed six-panel door set within a stucco doorcase that includes a flat hood with an enriched frieze and consoles, along with panelled pilasters. This entrance is flanked by 8/8 sashes that are recessed beneath enriched tympana. On the right side of the building, there is a possible earlier roofline. The rear elevation is finished in painted brick and includes an 8/8 sash window, two 2-light casements, and dentilled eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
