Description
No. 13 Pitt Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It may include parts of an earlier structure. The building is constructed of brick and has a stuccoed front, featuring an end-gabled tiled roof and a brick chimney stack. It has a double-depth layout with a short wing extending to the rear right.
The exterior is single-storey with a loft and presents a symmetrical front. There is a coped parapet, and in the center, an entrance doorway is flanked by a rectangular fanlight and a six-panel door set in a plain opening. On either side of the doorway, there are horned sash windows with glazing bars, each consisting of three rows of four panes, set in flush frames within their original openings. The west gable-end wall features a sash window with glazing bars, also with three rows of four panes, set in an opening with a brick segmental-arched head. Above this window, there is a loft doorway with a vertical board door in a timber-framed opening. The interior has not been inspected.
