Description

The railings to the school playground are located on the north side of the Gymnasium of the King's School and were built in 1852. They run from the north-east corner of the gymnasium to the north end of the east wall of the Infirmary Passage. The fence consists of panels of wrought-iron railing set on a stone plinth with weathered capping, positioned between dressed stone piers that also feature similar capping. The railing standards are topped with clover leaf finials. These railings are included for their group value.
