Description
The former coach house to Dulverton House, now used as a store, is part of the King's School and dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a half-hipped tiled roof. The building is long and rectangular, with its north side adjacent to the boundary of the Cathedral Precinct along the south side of Pitt Street, where the north precinct wall extends on either side.
The exterior consists of a tall single storey with an attic. At the west end, there is a large carriageway entrance with a basket arch that has been infilled with timber and features a raised keystone, along with double ledged and braced timber doors. Above this entrance, in the half gable, is a circular window. The north wall, which is built up against the precinct wall, has a high-level casement window with a segmental arch on the ground floor and another casement window above it in the attic. Additionally, there is a casement window in the half gable at the east end.
The interior has not been inspected. The building holds significant group value as part of an important collection of structures surrounding the Cathedral Precincts.
