Description

The wall and gate piers to the churchyard of St John the Evangelist were built in 1856. The wall is made of coursed squared stone and features gabled coping, stretching approximately 150 meters in length. In the center, there is a pair of square ashlar gate piers topped with stepped gabled caps adorned with trefoils. The wrought-iron gates were added in 1956. At the east end, there is another similar pair of gate piers, along with an adjacent pair that has moulded flat caps. This structure is included for its group value.
