Description
The gate piers and gates to the churchyard of the Church of St John the Evangelist in Dent are a pair of structures likely dating from 1838. They are made of monolithic sandstone and feature wrought-iron gates in a Gothic style. The octagonal piers have a cusped panel on each side and are topped with pointed caps. The gates have swept top rails, spear-headed bars, and dog-bars. These elements create a cohesive group with the Church of St John the Evangelist.
