Description

Dockra Bridge is a road bridge that spans Cowgill Beck, likely built in the late 18th century. The structure is made of thin coursed rubble with block coping along the parapets. It features a low segmental arch constructed with rubble voussoirs and has a straight chamfered band at road level. The eastern half of the north parapet has been recently rebuilt. Historically, the bridge was built to connect with the former quarry road leading to Garsdale.
