Description
Lea Yeat Bridge is a public road bridge that spans the River Dee, accompanied by a smaller linked bridge over Monkey Beck to the north. This structure dates from the early 19th century and is built from sandstone rubble with chamfered copings. The bridge features a low segmental arch made of rubble voussoirs, an arch-band, and slightly oversailing parapets. At the south corners, the walls splay around the corner with squinches. The west parapet extends northward to connect with the south parapet of the smaller bridge over Monkey Beck. This bridge is part of a group that includes a K6 telephone kiosk located approximately 30 meters to the north.
