Description

No. 65 West Gate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built around 1800 and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared stone that has been painted, and it features stone dressings and a plain tile roof. It stands three storeys tall and has a two-window range of plain sash windows, with two smaller similar sashes above. All of these windows have projecting surrounds. On the ground floor, there is a late 20th-century shop front on the right with a fascia, and on the left, there is a single-pane shop window. The building is included for its group value.
