Description
The churchyard wall, railings, and gates to the Church of St John the Evangelist were built in 1843. The structure is made of coursed squared Bulwell stone and features chamfered coping along with wrought-iron spearhead railings. The wall surrounds the south, east, and west sides of the churchyard. On the east side, there are a pair of square stone gate piers topped with pyramidal ashlar caps, leading to double gates. The south side has similar piers with a smaller wooden gate, while the west side features a renewed iron gate with iron piers. This structure is included for its group value.
