Description
No. 18 High Street is a house from the early 18th century with 19th-century alterations. It is built of colourwashed brick with stucco dressings and has a concrete interlocking tiled roof featuring two brick-coped gables and a single gable stack. The building is two storeys high with a four-bay front and a two-bay first floor. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and a plain eaves board. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a four-panelled door with a bordered overlight, panelled reveals, and a reeded wooden doorcase topped with a narrow hood. To the left of the door is a plain sash window, and to the right are two similar windows. On the first floor, there is a blank window opening above the door, flanked by two plain sash windows. All windows feature plain stucco lintels.
