Description
The Post Office and General Stores is a former cottage that has been converted into a cottage and shop. It dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a concrete tiled roof with two rendered gable stacks.
It is a single-storey structure with attics, presenting a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a planked door topped with a wooden gabled hood, and is flanked by two three-light windows, with the right window featuring a central casement, all under timber lintels. To the left of the door, there is a post box situated beneath a reset ogee hood. The roof is adorned with three gabled dormers at eaves level, each containing two-light casements with rendered cheeks.
