Description
No. 37 Church Street is a shop with a house above, dating from the early 19th century and altered in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of buff brick, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof with two gable brick stacks. It has three storeys and a three-bay front. The entrance is off-centre with half-glazed double doors and a plain overlight, flanked by single plain rectangular shop windows beneath a moulded fascia. To the left, there is a two-light shop window and a three-panelled door. The first floor has three glazing bar sash windows, while the second floor features three smaller similar windows. All original openings are topped with flat ashlar arches.
