Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house and shop dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond of three and features a hipped slate roof with a single ridge stack. It has two storeys and a three-bay front. On the left side, there is a three-bay shop front at the angle of the building, which includes a central half-glazed flush panelled door flanked by cast iron circular columns. On either side of the door are single fixed glazing bar shop windows, with a plain wooden pilastered surround and a plain entablature above. To the right of the shop front are two glazing bar sash windows. The first floor features three similar windows, all of which have cambered splayed brick arched heads.
