Description

This is a late 18th-century house, with some 19th and 20th-century alterations. It is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantiled roof, raised brick coped gables, and two brick gable stacks. The two-storey, three-bay front has a plain parapet. A central 20th-century door, with a plain overlight in a pilastered wooden surround and a narrow lead roof, replaces an earlier entrance. Flanking this door are single canted bay windows with flat roofs and margin light sash windows. The first floor has three glazing bar sash windows, each with a splayed stucco lintel. To the left is a two-storey service block, notable for its dentillated eaves course, featuring a planked door and a glazing bar sash window on the first floor. Beyond this is a single-storey washhouse with a ridge stack, two planked doors, and a fixed glazing bar window.
