Description
No. 37 High Street is a house built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It features red brick with yellow brick headers arranged in Flemish bond, along with stucco dressings and a pantiled roof that has a single ridge and gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a two-bay front, with rusticated quoins on the left side only. The entrance is an off-centre four-panelled door with a plain overlight, set within a pilastered wooden surround topped by a narrow leaded hood. To the left of the door is a canted bay window with plain sashes and a hipped lead roof. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sashes, each with rusticated splayed stucco lintels.
