Description

39 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring ashlar and stucco dressings, and has a pantiled roof with stone-coped gables on the right side only, along with a single gable stack. The building is two stories tall with a three-bay front, which includes first and second floor bands and rusticated quoins. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a wood pilastered surround, topped by a narrow leaded hood. On either side of the entrance are single canted bay windows with plain sashes and flat lead hoods. The first floor features three plain sashes with segmental brick heads.
