Description
No. 31 High Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and rendered, topped with pantiled roofs and featuring two ridge stacks. It has a five-bay front with a dentillated eaves course. The off-centre 19th-century shop front includes central double glazed doors flanked by single fixed lights, all separated by narrow pilasters that support a plain fascia. To the left, there is a half-glazed 20th-century door flanked by single sliding sash windows. To the right, a pair of planked doors is set beneath a basket arch. On the first floor, there are three two-light sliding glazing bar sash windows, with a single three-light window to the right. All openings feature cambered arched heads.
