Description

The building is a house and shop known as the Post Office, dating from the early 19th century and altered in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with a single gable stack. The front has two storeys and three bays, with a central four-panelled door that has a plain overlight above it. To the left, there is a 19th-century shop front that includes central half-glazed double doors flanked by large plain shop windows, all framed by fluted wooden pilasters that support a plain fascia. To the right, there is a single glazing bar sash window. On the first floor, there are three similar windows. All windows have splayed stucco lintels with keyblocks.
