Description

Grange Cottage is a cottage dating from 1784, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a pantiled roof with a raised stone coping to the gable. There are single axial and gable stacks of red brick. The single-storey, four-bay front has an off-centre six-panelled door. To the left of the door are two windows, and to the right, a single window, all with glazing bar sliding sashes. All window and door openings have splayed ashlar lintels with keystones. Three dormers are set into the roof, each with a cambered head, glazing bar sashes, and leaded cheeks. A rectangular stone panel above the door is inscribed ‘Robert Bradley 1784’.
