Description
No. 29 and 31 is a house with an attached workshop, dating from the 17th century but altered in the late 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, red brick, and features a yellow pantile roof with raised stone coped gables and two red brick gable stacks. The building is a single storey with attics and has a four-bay front. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a half-glazed door. To the left of the door is a two-light casement window, followed by a single plain sash window with a segmental ashlar head and keyblock. To the right, there is a similar single window. The roof has four raking dormers with rendered cheeks at the eaves level. At the rear, there is a 19th-century red brick workshop with a pantile roof and a crested ridge. The workshop has a single storey with a three-bay front, featuring central planked doors flanked by large top-hung glazing bar lights.
