Description
No. 11 Bourne Road is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched yellow pantile roof with a single ridge and two gable stacks, one of which has a moulded base and cornice. The house is single storey with attics and has a seven-bay front. The entrance is an off-centre half-glazed door, flanked by two single two-light casements. To the left, there is a three-light casement, and to the right, there are two additional casements and a small square fixed window. All openings are topped with chamfered timber lintels. The roof includes three 20th-century gabled two-light casement dormers with rendered cheeks, and all casements have glazing bars. Inside, the house retains simply chamfered beams with run-out stops.
