Description

No. 16 High Street is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is a pantile mansard style with raised stone coped gables and has two gable stacks, one made of stone and the other of brick.

The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door, which is flanked by single three-light casement windows. On the first floor, there are two similar windows alongside a central two-light casement. All windows are fitted with chamfered timber lintels and mullions. An earlier pattern of fenestration is visible in the stonework.
