Description
No. 18 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. It has a pantile mansard roof with raised stone coped gables, which include a single moulded stone gable stack. The house is two storeys high and has a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, flanked by single fixed 20th-century glazing bar windows, with the window to the right having been enlarged in the 19th century to create a shopfront. On the first floor, there are two fixed 20th-century glazing bar lights with a top hung light. This building is included in the listing for its group value.
