Description

4 and 6 Park Road are a pair of cottages dating from the early 17th century, with a later 17th-century addition and alterations made in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature ashlar quoins, topped with a pantile roof that has two ridge stacks—one of brick and the other an early 17th-century ashlar axial type. The buildings are single storey with attics and present an irregular nine-bay front. This includes four three-light and four two-light plain casement windows, along with a smaller fixed light to the right. All windows have chamfered timber lintels. The roof is adorned with four gabled dormers that have plain casements and finely rendered cheeks.
