Description
Hall Farm Cottages are two cottages dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. They are built from coursed rubble limestone with ashlar dressings and feature a pantile roof that has one brick gable stack and one brick ridge stack. The cottages are divided by a cross passage and are single storey with attics, displaying an irregular arrangement of six bays for windows. The building has ashlar quoins and an off-centre plain wooden door with a moulded surround. To the left of the door are three-light and two-light ovolo mullioned casements, while to the right are four-light, two-light, and three-light ovolo mullioned casements. There are four 19th-century dormers, consisting of three three-light dormers and one two-light dormer, with gables made from reused 17th-century mullions and brickwork on the gables and cheeks. The cottages feature iron frame casements throughout.
