Description
The Grange is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Collyweston slate roof, along with stone-coped gables and moulded stacks, forming an L-plan structure. The building has two storeys with attics and a three-bay facade, although traces of the original five bays can still be seen. It includes a plinth, a first-floor band, a moulded cornice, and raised quoins. The central entrance has a plain door with an overlight, set in a moulded surround with a pulvinated frieze and a small cornice above. This entrance is flanked by single 19th-century tripartite glazing sashes. Above the door, there are three glazing bar sashes, all of which have segmental heads with stone lintels and small keystones. The house also features three gabled dormer windows. At the rear, there is a wing with two bays that includes matching glazing bar sashes and lintels.
