Description
Hall Farm House is a farm house built around 1730, with an extension added in 1774. It features dressed rubble with ashlar dressing and a hipped slate roof with lead dressings. The building has a balanced pair of centrally placed moulded stone ridge stacks, along with an additional stone stack on the road elevation. The structure includes a stone plinth and rusticated quoins.
The facade is two storeys high with five bays, where the central bay is advanced and topped with a pediment. It has a moulded cornice and parapet. The central entrance door has an eared surround and a raised keystone, and it is a six-panelled door with a traceried fanlight above. All windows are glazing bar sashes with moulded surrounds and raised keystones. To the right, there is a one and a half storey wing with two bays, which displays datestones "TW 1774" and "1772" on the quoins at both the front and rear.
Inside, there is an 18th-century dog leg staircase featuring two knopped balusters at each tread. One of the ground floor rooms is fully panelled and includes cornices, full height fluted pilasters flanking a 20th-century fireplace, shutters, and a curved corner alcove.
