Description

This bus shelter, located outside No. 21 on High Road, is a late 18th-century structure that was re-erected in 1974. It is built from ashlar and features an arched opening with rounded corners. The base is rusticated and consists of three large courses of vermiculated quoins. Above the opening, there is a moulded impost band and a rusticated semi-circular arch, which is adorned with a scrolled scaled keystone. The shelter also has a dentilated cornice, and the Brownlow coat of arms is positioned centrally over the arch. This structure is included in the register for its group value.
