Description

This bus shelter, dating from around 1900, is located on the south side of East Parade in Hastings. It is constructed from wood, cast iron, and glass, featuring a rectangular shape supported by eight cast iron columns. The shelter has a half-hipped roof covered with patterned shingles and a deep eaves overhang. The columns are adorned with decorative cast iron brackets. Between the columns, there are wooden and glazed panels with beaded panelling that enclose four original wooden benches. A similar bus shelter can be found at Rock-A-Nore.
