Description

20 East Parade is a mid-19th century building. The left side features weatherboarding and a slate hipped roof, standing three storeys tall and one window wide. The first floor has a canted bay with altered windows, while the second floor contains a two-light casement. The right side is stuccoed, with a parapet and cornice, also two storeys high and one window wide. Its first floor has a canted bay of sash windows without glazing bars, and the building has a wedge shape with a rounded corner on the right, featuring a curved sash window without glazing bars. Both sections house a shop with large 19th-century paired fluted pilasters, and a dentilled cornice extends over the right-hand part and around the rounded end. The building is included for its group value with Nos 18A, 19, and 20.
