Description

Number 8 George Street is a building dating from around 1820. It stands three storeys tall and is two windows wide, constructed of painted stucco. The building features rather heavy architectural details, including a moulded cornice and a parapet. The first-floor windows have moulded architraves and a pediment supported by consoles, while the second-floor windows also have moulded architraves. The sashes on both the first and second floors include glazing bars. The ground floor originally housed a large shop from the early 20th century, which has since been converted into a garage. All the listed buildings on George Street are part of a group.
