Description

No. 2 Bourne Road is a cottage dating from the 17th century, which has been raised and altered in the early and late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a plain tiled roof with a single gable and red brick stacks at the ridge. The building is a single storey with an attic and has an irregular four-bay front. The entrance consists of an off-centre half-glazed door that is sheltered by a projecting hipped hood. This door is flanked by two single two-light casement windows with segmental heads, and to the left, there is a similar window. The roof includes three gabled dormers, each with two-light plain casements and rendered cheeks.
