Description
No. 1 Middle Street is a house located in Farcet, dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings and features a 20th-century ridged pantile roof, along with a brick ridge stack positioned to the left of center. The building is one storey high with an attic and originally follows a three-unit plan. The left side has a parapet gable with chamfered copings, while the right side has a half-hipped roof. The front includes a 20th-century panelled door and two three-light casement windows to the left. There is a blocked doorway to the right, which has wooden lintels, and a 17th-century stone two-light casement window with rebated jambs and a moulded cornice. Additionally, there are two gabled dormer windows.
