No. 5 Market Place is a house dating from the late 17th century, with some 19th-century and minor 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a pantile roof with raised stone coped gables. The house has two gable stacks, one made of brick on the left and the other in ashlar on the right. The front is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a 19th-century half-glazed door, flanked by small tripartite glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows. All openings are topped with timber lintels.
