Description
30 Market Place is a house with a shop that has been converted back into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with gable stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with a four-bay front. The 19th-century shop front includes a doorway on the right, flanked by Doric pilasters and double, three-quarter glazed doors. To the right of the doorway is a rectangular fixed window with large glazing bars and a Doric pilaster beyond. On the left, there is a section of rubble wall with a four-light window, also flanked by Doric pilasters and featuring large glazing bars, including a small upper casement. Above, there are four two-light casements with rectangular stone lintels. The roof features three gabled dormer windows with ornate barge boards and two-light casements.
