Description
No. 37 St Peter's Street is a building dating from 1671, located on the north side of St Peter's Street. It is two storeys high, constructed from coursed rubble with stone quoining and dressings. The front, which dates from the late 18th century, features two windows in the upper storey that break the eaves to form dormers, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a three-light sash window and a single-light window, both with glazing bars, flanking a six-panel door that has a rectangular glazed fanlight above it.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 26 to 33 St Peter's Street, a wall in the yard adjacent to No. 37, and stabling at the rear of No. 37. It also forms part of a group with Nos. 33 to 38 St Peter's Street and No. 7 St Peter's Hill.
