Description

No 3 St Peter's Street is a 17th-century cottage that is part of Williamson's Callis. The building is one storey high and constructed from coursed rubble. The front features a typical 18th-century design with two three-light windows, a wooden lintel, and two hipped dormers, all fitted with leaded casements. The door is plain. Inside, there is a remarkable plaster ceiling dating from the early 17th century, adorned with depictions of animals, fruit, and a scene believed to represent Susanna and the Elders. A tall central stone stack is also present. Nos 1 to 5, in sequence, form a group with this property.
