Description
Number 1 on St Peter's Street is a 17th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics. The exterior is rendered, and it features a steep roof covered with stone slates, which includes one cambered dormer. The upper storey overhangs and has two windows with flush frames, double-hung sashes, and glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay with four stone mullioned lights, which contain fixed-frame windows also with glazing bars. The entrance boasts an early 19th-century door with six panels and two glass sections, topped by a glazed rectangular fanlight. This door is likely in the original position and is framed by a heavy reeded wood case with roundels and an open pediment. The building has a plinth and a foot scraper. Numbers 1 to 5 on St Peter's Street form a group.
