Description

Wells House is a two-part house, likely dating from the 18th century. The left-hand section is probably of that period, while the right-hand section is also likely 18th century. The house is rendered and has roofs covered in stone slates. The left-hand section has a taller form with a steep roof, a single gabled dormer window, and two stone stacks at the gable ends. It has one four-light window on each storey, with modern glazing. The right-hand section has a single gabled dormer window and one stone stack. It features three windows, also with modern glazing. The ground floor of the right-hand section has one earlier double-hung sash window with glazing bars. A scraper is visible on the plinth. The front door is of four panels, with two panes of glass, set within an early 19th-century architrave featuring thin reeded pilasters. Numbers 1 to 5 form a group.
