Description
No. 34 on St Peter's Street is an 18th-century house that stands two storeys high. It is constructed of painted stone with ashlar dressings and features a band between the storeys. The house has two canted bays, each two storeys tall, with hipped roofs made of stone slate. The bays are rendered and have marginal glazing, while the eaves are finished with a wood cornice. The entrance includes a five-panel door with a rectangular fanlight, set in a narrow reeded case. Above this, there is a part-glazed 19th-century door with a rectangular fanlight, created from a former window space. The house also has a rendered plinth. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 26 to 33, a wall in the yard next to No. 33, and stabling behind No. 37, as well as Nos 33 to 38 and No. 7 on St Peter's Hill.
