Description
No 7 St Peter's Hill is an 18th-century building constructed of ashlar stone, which is built on an earlier house and has been cement-rendered. It stands two storeys tall and features an attractive roof covered with store slates that slightly waves over the bays. The building has stone stacks and two two-storey bays, each with three hung sash windows that include glazing bars on both storeys. At the west end, there is a six-panel door, with two panels of glass, located beneath a single sash window. This door is set within a moulded rectangular frame that has a head with a four-centred arch. No 7 is currently occupied by the YMCA Centre and forms part of a group with No 9. It also contributes to a group with Nos 33 to 38 St Peter's Street, which are located on the adjoining west side.
