Description

No. 17 Northgate is a mid-17th century house that has one storey and attics. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a reed thatch roof. The building has three windows with wooden casements; the ground floor windows are hung sashes with carved wooden lintels. The entrance includes a six-panel door set within an early 19th century reeded wood doorcase, which is topped by a small hood. No. 17 is part of a group with Nos. 17 to 27 (odd).
