Description

14 and 16 Northgate are 18th century cottages constructed of coursed rubble, with some brick repairs on the side. They feature a slate roof and one dormer, while the rear has modern tiles. The eaves have a cornice, and there is a modern chimney. The buildings are two stories tall with two windows and flat arches. On the ground floor, there is a continuous wood lintel above the door, which has two glass panels set in a chamfered reveal. There is a modern extension at the rear. These cottages are included for their group value, as they form a group with No 1 and the stabling adjacent to No 1 to the west.
