Description

Numbers 18 and 20, including a brick addition to the north, are located on Church Street and date from the early 18th century. This building is two storeys high with attics, constructed of red brick featuring stone rusticated quoins and dressings around the windows and doors. It has a wooden eaves cornice, a stone band, and a plinth. There are six windows, a mix of sashes and casements, with glazing bars on two windows on both floors at the south end. The casements have wooden mullions and modern lights. All windows are framed with stone quoins, straight brick arches, and stone keystones. The entrance features a six-panel door with a similar stone surround, although the door panels of number 20 have been restored. A modern bay window with a hipped slate pentice roof is also present. To the north, there is a mid-18th century brick addition that is two storeys high, covered with modern tiles and featuring a wooden eaves cornice. This addition has one window with a flat arch and hung sash with glazing bars, and another window with modern glass. Numbers 10 to 20 form a group.
