Description

Two mid-18th century houses stand on the south side of Northgate. Constructed of red brick with a brick eaves cornice, they present as a single composition. The roof is covered in stone slates, with a hipped dormer at the rear. A stone plinth with moulded capping runs along the base of the building. The two storeys feature four windows per floor, each with a moulded flush frame, a straight brick arch above, a stone sill, and a hung sash window. A six-panel door is accessed by two stone steps and is topped by a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. A foot scraper is also present. A modern extension has been built onto the rear of the property.
