Description

This early 19th-century building consists of two houses, number 25 and number 27, located on the north side of Northgate. Constructed of red brick with a slate roof and a brick modillion cornice, the building is three storeys high and features three windows. Each window has a straight brick arch and stone sills. The houses are fronted by doors at either end, each set within a semi-circular stone archway and leading to a five-panel door with a plain fanlight above. Brass knockers adorn the doors. A scraper is present on number 27. Numbers 17 to 27 (odd numbers) combine to form a notable architectural grouping.
