Description

Stowe House is a late 16th century or early 17th century house that stands two storeys high. It is constructed of coursed stone with a rendered plinth and is topped with a reed thatch roof. The building features three windows on each storey, with five-light bays at both ends, which have moulded mullions and hoods. In the upper storey, there is a small central window with a plain stone surround and a moulded cill. The central door has chamfered jambs and a four-centred arch set within a rectangular stone architrave, topped by a narrow moulded hood. Stowe House is part of a group that includes Nos 17 to 27 (odd).
